Neema is a journalist currently based in Philadelphia, where she works for NewsWorks.org/WHYY.
Neema’s past experiences include time at Kiplinger, where she covered small business, the advertising and marketing industries, and higher education. Neema has also worked with NJBIZ, N.J.’s business journal, where she wrote about the local economy, and CNBC, where she covered various high-profile stories, including the Madoff trial.
Neema graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in journalism and economics. While on campus, she was a correspondent at The Daily Targum, the second oldest collegiate daily in the country and was on the founding team of the university’s first world affairs journal.
In her spare time, she likes practicing yoga, baking eggless treats, going on self-guided walking tours and reading her way through the growing stack of magazines on her coffee table.
